Most successful onboarding experience ever

I was internally promoted to lead the most instrumental region in our organization. The success of my team would determine the financial success of the organization. There were several challenges I was going to encounter with this promotion: moving from a peer to the boss; limited formal strategies for the role; lack of executive support and mentorship; and a highly functioning team that needed to continue to succeed and grow during the transition. There was a lot at stake professionally, personally, and financially.
