How to WRAP up the year
Many years ago, I had an idea for a game to play on New Year’s Eve. You see, I am one of those people that believe how you spend that night really does factor into how your entire year will go, so I decided to create some prompts on cue cards to help me reflect on the prior year and what I wanted for the year ahead.
Resilience Doesn't Just Happen
It was May 2020 and I got laid off from my job due to COVID, a job I had only been at since February 2020, a job that caused me to relocate from Edmonton, AB Canada to Eagleville, PA. I was in shock. I didn’t know what to do, so I started researching and finding out how to deal with everything. I was lucky enough to come across the work of Linda Hoopes of Resilience Alliance.
Stop Pretending You Are Okay
We are “taught” from an early age to simply say we are okay, even if we are not. This is especially prevalent when we experience a loss. That loss could be many things, such as the loss of a friendship, the loss of a job or the loss of a loved one through death.
